End of Year Review that's Easy!
Can y’all even BELIEVE that I am writing an “end of year review” blog post right now? It’s March, so it’s really where our attention is turning here in Tennessee, but woah. It’s so funny to me every year how the year flies by up until December. And then it comes to a c-r-a-w-l in January and February. But, once you make it through February you start zooming through March and go “wait a second. We have 9 weeks left of school?!” Every year. Without fail.
So, testing here is on the last week of April, and Spring Break is one week away, which means that everyone is starting to have that panic attack moment where they are counting the days until testing, and trying to schedule out enough time to finish covering content but then also giving themselves time to review before testing begins.
You all MUST know by now that I believe in working smarter, not harder. I have a ton of easy review games stored up that require basically no prep. I posted about one of them on Instagram the other day!
But on top of the games and the silliness, I am very much into a daily, spiral review. But, if I’m going to do this, I want it to be targeted and directly aligned to my standards. SO I made this cutecutecute review book that I went ahead and spiral-bound because I’m extra. But of course it can simply be stapled into a packet or put in a binder, or just passed out one sheet at a time. You do you, Boo.
Watch the video below to see the review book in action! My plan is for the students to keep these in their desks and do a page or two for morning work each day. We will review the answers at the beginning of class, and it will give us the opportunity to go back and talk about some things we haven’t even mentioned since September. But, I don’t have to worry about running copies each week. Just once and it’s done!
If you try this book out, connect with me on Instagram and let me know! I love to see pictures and/or hear stories of products in action!
