Fall Digital Reading Passages + Questions

How is everyone’s October going?? I don’t understand how time has felt like it’s crawled along at a snail’s pace, while also flying by. HOW are there only 2.5 months left of this year??

In the spirit of all things fall, I wanted to share my Digital, Fall passages with you! These are being added to the existing printable listings. I like to include digital downloads to printable listings for a couple of reasons.

1.) My hope is that distance learning is temporary. So, if you need the digital file this year, but need the printable version in the future, I want you to have what you need.

2.) Some of you are doing a hybrid model where you teach kids in person and digitally. If that’s the case for you, I want anything you purchase from my store to make your teaching life as seamless as I can. It’s a small thing to have the same passage and questions in two formats, but if it helps even a tiny bit, then I want to make sure it’s done!

Here’s how the digital passages work:

  • When you purchase, you will see two PDFs: one for digital download, and one for printable. Clicking the links on the digital files will download them directly into your Google Drive.

  • Each of the printable pages are available in a Google Form format. You can share these with your entire class, and their answers to the comprehension questions will be recorded and submitted back to you.

  • The passages are also in Google Slides with editable graphic organizers. You can have your students complete graphic organizers based on the text evidence, rather than answering questions.

In my Fall Passages Bundle, the reading passage themes I have are:

-Fall Passages (4 different fiction stories)

-Footaball (4 nonfiction articles)

-Halloween (3 fiction passages, 2 nonfiction articles)

-Spiders and Bats (4 nonfiction articles)

-Thanksgiving (3 fiction stories, 1 nonfiction article)

-Native American Groups (7 nonfiction articles)

And there you have it! Digital Passages done for you, perfect for the fall season!
