Hi, teacher friend!

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • You know what you need to get done each week, but find that you have so many demands on your time at school that you rarely can fit it all in.

  • You work on the weekends or in the evenings to finish tasks, and you consistently feel guilty for the personal life things you feel like you have to give up or shorten to get your work done.

  • You are starting to feel resentful of your job, and how demanding it is…and how no one in charge at your school (or in your district) seems to understand how many tasks they have asked you to complete in such limited time.

  • You worry that if you start ‘leaving work at work’ that your work as a teacher will be compromised. It’s important to you that you do a great job as a teacher, but you want to spend less time at it.

I can help!

My name is Stephanie and I am 2nd grade teacher. I have 11 years of public education experience under my belt. I am super passionate about simplifying the parts of teaching that create the most stress for us as teachers.

I spend a big chunk of my time working on systems and routines in my classroom. As a busy mom of (almost) four, I want to spend more time with my own children at home than I spend grading papers or writing lesson plans.

It’s not just my preference, it’s a necessity. After 8 hours away from my own family, I HAVE to put them first when I’m home.

And I have found that simple systems and routines make it possible. I am fully present at school, and I’m prepared for my job. I maintain growth in my students and provide quality instruction, every day.

But when I’m home, I’m home.

You CAN have it all, but it probably doesn’t look the way you think it’s going to. It’s not about creating a perfect balance of teaching life vs. personal life. It’s about deciding which parts of teaching you can let go, and which parts you can give to someone else.

If your admin is not going to take tasks off of your plate, start doing it for yourself. Create space to be great at what really matters, and let the rest fall by the wayside.

Want to know how to do that? I have a FREE email course for you!

This FREE email mini-course has five days of dense, idea-packed emails that will show you my weekly routine for mapping out my to-do list for the week, breaking the tasks into daily lists, and creating pockets of time to get it done (even on weeks where I am slammed with meetings!)

After all five emails, you will be able to implement the systems and weekly routines that you need to walk away from work EVERY weekend. You won’t be walking away just for the sake of taking a break. Instead, you’ll be walking away because there is no. work. left. to. do.

And is there anything more beautiful than that?
